Wald International has revealed the new Black Bison Edition R230 SL. The vehicle is based on Sports Line version of the model and comes with some exterior improvements. However, there is no data about boosting the new superefficient engines.
The aerodynamics package includes a new front bumper, front fenders, a pair of modified side skirts, a new rear bumper and quarter panel wheel arch extensions. Finally, to complete the aggressive exterior, Wald installed a trunk lid spoiler, which is also available in carbon fiber and a DTM sports muffler with twin exhaust pipes.

Mercedes-Benz reveals 2012 SLK55 AMG.

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the latest addition to the SLK Roadster lineup, the 2012 SLK55 AMG. For this iteration of the diminutive droptop, AMG is employing a naturally-aspirated version of Mercedes-Benz's 5.5-liter V8.
The new aluminum engine is good for 415 horsepower and 398 pound-feet of torque, which should be more than enough to motivate the little beast. To keep things eco-friendly somewhat greener, the new engine employs gasoline direct injection and a stop-start feature to help save fuel.
The V8 exhales through twin exhausts, which have flaps that open to deliver a throatier sound when your right foot comes down. All the go bits are mated to AMG's seven-speed Speedshift Plus 7G-Tronic automatic cog box. Look for the hot-rodded SLK to arrive in showrooms early next year.

Mercedes-Benz SL-Class.

It's been a while since we've heard anything about the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class. That could be because the current model dates back to 2003, undergoing the facelift we know today back in 2008. But now we've got news, and it's a mixed bag of good and bad.
The bad news first: word is, Mercedes is discontinuing the twelve-cylinder versions of the SL. The SL600 was the first to be phased out, and now it appears the SL65 AMG is getting the axe as well. There's no word yet on whether or not that includes the hardcore, fixed-roof SL65 AMG Black Series.
The good news, however, is that phasing out of the V12 roadsters could signal the imminent arrival of the next-gen SL. That's expected to show up sometime next year as a 2013 model, and will come as good news for SL buyers as the current model has lived longer than anything in the Mercedes-Benz range this side of the Geländewagen.

2012 SLS AMG.

Mercedes has unveiled the new 2012 SLS AMG Roadster, which will have its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show, this year. The sports car will combine superb performance and wind in the hair. 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster will make its U.S. debut in Fall 2011.
The roof is fully automatic and features a glass rear window, and can be folded or raised at speeds up to 31 mph (50 km/h). Furthermore, it doesn’t take any boot space, which is decent for such type of car – 173 liters.
“The SLS Roadster is a super sports car, cruiser and highly desirable dream-car all in one. In its distinctive way, it continues the succession of iconic and exciting sports cars from Mercedes-Benz.”, commented Dr Dieter Zetsche, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Cars.
“Systematic lightweight construction, outstanding performance and a breathtaking design combined with sensuous open-air driving pleasure – the new SLS AMG Roadster perfectly embodies the AMG philosophy of German engineering and craftsmanship. 2012 SLS AMG Roadster is powered by the famous 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 with staggering 571PS (420 kW) and 650Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. It is mated to the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports gearbox, which shifts in as little as 100 milliseconds. There are also four different driving modes: “C” (Controlled Efficiency), ”S” (Sport), “S+” (Sport plus) or “M” (Manual). As you may suggest, the acceleration is brutal – 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and top speed is 317 km/h (197 mph). Despite the heavy weight – 1661 kg (3661 lbs), the car acts just super.
The interior matches the exterior – leather upholstery, mettalic accents and nice AMG sports seats with AIRSCARF. The options list includes a Bang & Olufsen audio system and an AMG Performance Media system.

Mercedes GL-Class.

Mercedes GL-Class crossover. Ain't life grand? Mercedes-Benz seems to think so, as the German automaker recently introduced its Grand Edition lineup, starting with the Sprinter van, and now including the GL-Class crossover.
Available on the entire GL range, the Grand Edition adds unique 20-inch light-alloy Mercedes wheels, newly designed two-tone leather seats and black ash wood trim inside the cabin. Other grandiose cues include dark-tinted headlamps, a black grille and a redesigned front bumper that incorporates standard LED running lamps for maximum bling effect.
Prices start at €80,206 for the GL350 CDI BlueEfficiency Grand Edition – about $112,716(!) based on current exchange rates – and reach as high as €99,127 ($139,292) for the range-topping GL500.

Official: Mercedes-Benz showcases SLS AMG ambulance concept at emergency vehicle expo. Retasking a supercar as a pace car for a racing series has almost become standard fare. We've even seen the odd exotic commissioned to serve as a police car. But as an ambulance? Of all the vehicles that could fit the task, the supercar might seem the least likely, but Mercedes-Benz is evidently out to prove this notion wrong this year at the RETTmobil emergency vehicle expo.
To highlight their medical vehicle offerings and the versatility of their range, Mercedes has outfitted their top-of-the-line SLS AMG gullwing as an emergency medical vehicle. For the task, they've equipped it with the traditional German ambulance livery, a pair of flashing lights on the hood and a host of communications equipment.
The 6.3-liter V8 engine, Alubeam "liquid metal" paint job and the gullwing doors (equipped with explosive charges to blow them off their hinges if there's a rollover) carry over from the showroom-stock model. No word on whether medical equipment like a portable defibrillator has been fitted to the first-responder concept car, but a quick spin around the block in this puppy ought to be enough to revive anyone from even the deepest coma. Mercedes-Benz has released first official photos of the all new
2012 SLS AMG Roadster. After the Gullwing version, the luxury open-top variant is the second car, which will be independently developed by AMG.
The new SLS AMG Roadsters are slightly disguised as they cover their test routes. However, it is easily to identify the vehicles, because of the two seats and a fabric soft top. The proportions are well-known: a long bonnet, large wheels and a short rear end.
The SLS AMG Roadster gets a soft-top roof made of cloth that can be retracted or closed in 11 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h (31 mph). Despite losing the gullwing doors, the weight of the roadster didn’t suffer at all. The weight of the bodyshell is just 2 kilograms more.
2012 Mercedes SLS Roadster is powered by a 6.2 liter naturally aspirated V8 with 571PS (420 kW) and 650Nm (479 lb-ft). 0 to 100 km/h takes 4.0 seconds, flat and the top speed is electronically limited to 317 km/h (197 mph). Whether open or closed, even at top speed the SLS Roadster is perfectly stable.
The 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster will make its official debut at the Frankfurt motor show in September and it will hit the market in the end of the year.

Mercedes-Benz Reveals New C63 AMG DTM Safety Car.

Germany's DTM race series is coming to the U.S. in 2013, but there's no reason to wait until it gets here to enjoy the show. Especially not when the 2012 C63 AMG is the field's official safety car, shown off here in its be-lighted guise.
The previous C63 AMG was also chosen for safety car duties back in 2008, so the new C63 getting the nod for the job isn't surprising. Equipped with the AMG performance package, output nips up to 487 horsepower, enabling the car to get to 62 mph in just 4.3 seconds, or 4.4 seconds as a station wagon. Aside from the LED lightbar and other safety gear, the differences from the standard C63 are primarily cosmetic or electronic.
DTM Safety Car logos, a radio and TV monitor for communication with race control, an LED-lit "Safety Car" sign where the license plate would go, and four-point seat belts round out the changes.

Dubbed Kicherer SLS 63 Supersport GT “Super-Model”, the monstrous ride’s „next-level” look is demonstrated through an extremely stylish photo session partnered by a beautiful super-model, which can be viewed in high-resolution in the image gallery bellow.
Besides the good-looking super-model, the refined Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 AMG is beautified by a sleek exterior kit by Kicherer, consisting of a specially designed, hand-made billet grill and a set of carbon fins for the mudguard and the cowl. Moreover, full foliation of the entire body of the SLS 63 Supersport GT in matt black and a set of Kicherer’s famous RS-1 forged lightweight alloys add even more exclusivity and sporty feeling.
Inside the power compartment, the Kicherer SLS 63 Supersport GT’s liquid-cooled V8 four-stroke engine is boosted to a total output of 630 horsepower and 700 Nm instead of its series 571 horsepower. The new 2012 SLK is on the loose, revealed at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, but we're still waiting for the AMG variant. From the looks of it, we won't have to wait much longer, as these spy shots add to those captured last summer, bringing the car's shape into sharper focus as it loses some of the previous camouflage.
According to the spy photographers, the engine under the hood sounded like a V-8, tipping the new 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 as a possible power source. That could put power figures as high as 450 horsepower in AMG trim--a leap of 90 horsepower over the current SLK 55 AMG, which gets its power from a naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter V-8. A twin-turbo V-6 or naturally aspirated V-8 could also be tapped for the car, but so far nothing is certain. The C-Class kept the old engine, while the new CLS AMG gets the 5.5-liter turbo, but keeps the 63 badging.
In addition to the new powerplant--whatever it may be--the new SLK AMG's aesthetics are getting a major overhaul as well. Sharing the overall proportions of the revised SLK it's based on, including the new and improved hood/nose shape, the AMG also gets more rectangular quad-tipped tailpipes (despite the still-round ones on this prototype), a new front spoiler and air dam with larger intake inlets, and a full body treatment to point up the car's aggressive performance. Expect large and shiny forged alloy wheels, big brakes, AMG badging, and unique paint color options as well.
Performance should be stunning, particularly if the new 5.5-liter twin-turbo V-8 gets the nod, as the car is expected to drop about 200 pounds from its chassis despite gaining room inside. Speaking of the inside, the car is expected to get some flavor from the new SLS AMG, meaning abundant leather, metal-accented controls, and classic-yet-modern layout. A range of materials and colors are also a given, allowing buyers to customize their vehicles to taste.
Practicality won't be a problem for the new SLK AMG, either, at least in relation to the previous model. Like the base SLK, the AMG version is expected to get a larger trunk with 11.2 cubic feet of space--just a bit smaller than a BMW 3-Series sedan's, by way of comparison.

The Mercedes Benz CLK Class of automobiles was first made available for sale to automotive enthusiasts and the distinguished consumers who appreciated such high quality automobiles in 1996. The first mid sized automobile offered by Mercedes proved itself true to the reputation of a Mercedes in both form and function. The first generation of Mercedes Benz CLK Class, the W208, was available in four different models with all models being available as either a coupe or a convertible.
In 2003, the W209 emerged as the second generation of the Mercedes CLK Class and as of 2007 is still the current generation of the Mercedes CLK Class of vehicles. The new CLK Class was enhanced by only a few relatively minor changes to the overall design and function of the vehicle. The most significant changes to the new generation of Mercedes Benz CLK Class vehicles are evident in the sportier frame and trim.
